About the ATTAIN System


The State University of New York System Administration's University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD) manages the statewide network of Educational Opportunity Centers (EOCs) and Community Based Outreach Centers (CBOs). The mission of the UCAWD is to promote the academic, and economic development of the major urban communities of New York. The EOCs represent New York State's commitment to providing educational and vocational training opportunities to disadvantaged adults, urban communities and employers of New York State. Through EOCs, the UCAWD is able to provide academic services, job training and employment opportunities for urban adults. These services are designed to ensure that adult learners succeed not only in college and the workplace, but also meet the emerging needs of employers in New York State.
